Dare To Fly...

"SERIOUSLY QUIRKY," maybe that's how people describe me. But there's also this side of me that I myself doesn't even know  exists.

February 6, 2017, 8:00 am at school . Our Filipino teacher started to talk about the stage play we were going to make. It was entitled "Ibong Adarna", it's about three brothers who were looking for an enchanted bird for them to bring to their kingdom because of their sick dead father who got his sickness because of a nightmare. Now the three went one by one to the mountains to find the bird, but two of them failed. Now the pressure is on the youngest among the three. When he finally got the bird, he was forsaken by his two brothers because of their eagerness on ruling their kingdom. And so the story goes on like that.

Then our teacher started picking out characters, and shockingly and unexpectedly , my teacher picked me to be the freakin' bird, which is totally nerve wracking 'cause I really didn't know what I was supposed to feel.

When I got home I told my grandma about it and she was very happy, then i seriously didn't know how i was going to react to that.
Days later, rehearsals for the play started, and luckily I memorized my script easily. It wasn't really my main problem, it was because I am required to move my hands in an up and down motion like a bird with POISE!! Seriously!! WITH POISE PEOPLE!! WITH POISE!!  Can you believe it!?? And also I was required to sing songs that are lively. Imagine, walking with poise while singing 'Chandelier' by Sia. How am I supposed to do that? Well I don't really have a problem with the singing part ( not bragging though 😜).

Two weeks have passed since our first day of practice and I actually realized something. Even though what personality you have, there's something inside you that has just been in you for a very long time and your just not feeling or realizing it.
Well, everything's going smooth for me now. And that's because I didn't just stay at my comfort zone, but instead, I explored my own personality and gladly, I found out somethings that I myself didn't even know I had.

POISE IS SOMETHING YOU DON'T JUST LEARN, IT'S SOMETHING YOU GAIN ALONGSIDE WITH CONFIDENCE AND TRUST IN YOURSELF😉😉..
